Student Testimonials

Tell me a little about your background.
I went to the University of Colorado and obtained my degree in Integrative Physiology. I grew up playing sports and always had an interest in the medical field, and also sales.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
I felt as though this was the perfect industry for me. It combined my passion for the medical field, sales, and relationships.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
I had friends who had previously attended MSC and then were placed with companies. I spoke with them about it.
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
My desire to get into the industry, and the extremely high placement rate of those who attend the school.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
MSC is unlike any other school. Everything you do there has purpose behind it, and there is no wasted time with busy work. The instructors truly care about you and want to prepare you. The recruiting team does an incredible job at preparing you for your interviewing and job search, and are with you every step of the way.
What is the most valuable piece of information that you learned while attending MSC which ultimately helped you land your position?
One task I was given during my interview process was to profile all the anterior cervical systems of the company. This was like any given week at MSC, so I felt more than prepared. When I met with the RM that I was presenting to, she was surprised with how much I knew and how prepared I was.
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
I spent my whole spring semester of college applying to medical device jobs (January - May). Near the end of my spring semester I was frustrated that I wasn?t getting any interviews and then stumbled upon MSC through Google and started talking to friends who had attended.
Did you have any fears about attending the School? What were they?
Yes, I was a bit reluctant. Quite honestly, the placement rating seemed too high to be true. But, I had nothing to lose and I took a chance. It ended up being one of my best decisions ever.
Explain what your interview process was like.
My interview process was about 6 weeks total. I had an interview every week for the ?next step?. I felt as though MSC more than prepared me for the job and interview process.
What is your current job like?
Since I am just starting my job, it consists of running trays to different hospitals, setting up for the cases for the day, and observing cases with my sales consultant.
What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?
How much knowledge that needs to be had while in the OR. You must be a few steps ahead of the scrub tech and know the surgeons next few moves.
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
Learning the general instruments in all the sets, and the steps to certain procedures. This has helped immensely.
