Tell me a little about your background.

I am born and raised out of Wichita Falls, TX. I completed my Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from Texas Tech University. I have always been very competitive and driven to excel in any task I take on. In college, I competed as a competitive bodybuilder while working as a personal trainer and online fitness and wellness coach. Upon graduation I decided that medical device sales was the direction I wanted to head in. I decided to attend MSC to jumpstart my career and land a position in the medical device industry.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

My interest for pursuing medical device sales stems from my curiosity of clinical medicine, love for sales, and passion for helping others. Knowing that I can be part of an operating room team that all works together to provide positive patient outcomes is ultimately my passion in pursuing medical device sales.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

I learned about MSC from a friend who was currently in the program. We had a similar path with our degrees and they told me what it all entailed and how great of an opportunity it was.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

What made me want to attend was the conversations with the MSC staff. After learning what all the course had to offer, the student placement, and the knowledge I would learn from attending, I knew this was the perfect course to take to jumpstart my journey in medical device sales.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

My training experience was top notch. Having multiple different instructors all with real world experience, I was able to captivate on many years of personal knowledge in the medical device industry. Also having hands on labs was very beneficial as I was able to use this in my interviewing process.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

Someone should attend MSC if they want to jumpstart their career into medical device sales. There is no concrete path to getting into the industry, but there is no doubting that Medical Sales College will jumpstart your journey and give you all the tools and resources to be able to get into the medical device industry.

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

My interviewing process was a very positive experience. I reached out to a connection I made during MSC and asked about different opportunities. After meeting up with them, I was very fortunate to move through the interviewing process. After a couple more interviews with different members of the company I was ultimately able to land a position with an amazing company.

What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?

I wish that I knew forming connections is very important in this industry and will help you succeed in the long run. Luckily, MSC tells you about this from day one and personally this was very beneficial to me and allowed me to land my position.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

The most valuable information I learned was the ins and outs of the industry. What positions I should be going after, the difference in the many different sectors of the medical device industry, and an overall better understanding of the industry. This information was crucial during my interviewing process as I was always able to hold a conversation about the position and industry with the hiring managers.
