Student Testimonials

Tell me a little about your background.
I received my bachelor's degree in Integrative Physiology from CU Boulder, in 2018. Following graduation, I worked for a few different companies, all in the medical field, though primarily in regenerative medicine. My ultimate goal was to gain enough experience to allow me to break into the medical device field.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
I have always been interested in medicine and science and had initially planned on attending PA school after graduating from CU; however, following graduation, I decided that I wasn't ready to go back to school. I found myself working in an OR where I was introduced to the medical device industry, I loved the idea of still getting to work in a clinical role without having to attend 2 more years of school.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
Google.
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
I decided to attend MSC after I lost my job due to COVID-19. I applied to 172 more jobs over the course of 3 months with no success and then decided that I was tired of waiting around and needed to take it one step further.

What is the most valuable piece of information that you learned while attending MSC which ultimately helped you land your position?
That you will likely not get a job, simply by applying to jobs, you must seek out the opportunity. Nobody had ever shared that with me before, I was entirely unaware, but reaching out is in-fact how I landed my job.
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
I tried to break into the industry for two years before attending MSC. The experience was hard. I was a rep for a small hematological company and was vastly underprepared to be in an OR. I learned hard and fast that there's much more to it than just doing your job and maintaining sterility. I left that job because I didn't know how to interact with the OR staff or how to do anything outside of my very small scope. That experience did, however, open doors for me and it got me close to landing a job in the device industry several times, but it simply wasn't enough.
