Tell me a little about your background.

I have a BA in Clinical Dietetics and worked with healthcare practitioners all throughout college. I juggled my fraternity, coursework, philanthropy, work study, and my part time job while I was in college. After I graduated, I decided to attend MSC and now I am working with a Spine distributorship.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

I wanted a career that still allowed me to work in a clinical setting since my BA was in a clinical science. This industry also allows for the ability to be as successful as the amount and quality of work you put in.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

I came across MSC?s website and saw one of my fraternity brothers had gone through the program and was now working with NuVasive.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

I decided that this was a career I could be good at and enjoy, and I could make a lot of money with hard work.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

There was a lot of material to consume that was necessary to hold an intelligent conversation with individuals in the industry. It also consisted of many presentations and projects that solidified my understanding of the material.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

I truly believe it would be impossible to get in the industry without having attended MSC. It?s a great experience filled with incredible instructors and classmates alike who were all interested in the field.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

3 months.

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

I had been speaking with an owner of Anchor Medical for a while. We would talk about new technologies and the products he worked with. Occasionally, the owner would ask me what I thought of certain products and my impressions of the differentiators they held. After a while he expressed interest in meeting and later asked if I?d be interested in a position with his distributorship. I presented some research on NEXXT Spine and their competitors, and after further conversation I was able to secure the position.

What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?

I wish I knew that without a doubt attending MSC would be the best decision I?d ever make.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

It is much easier and you?re more likely to secure a position with a medical device company through developing relationships within the industry and consistently keeping up with those relationships.
