Tell me a little about your background.

Went to school in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Attended Catholic University and was a 3 year starter on the football team.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

I had a few bad injuries from football, and I needed a pretty serious ankle surgery which drew me to wondering about the entire industry.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

My best friends sister in law had attended.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

I had a good feeling about it and talked to individuals who attended who had good things to say.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

I learned quick that if you weren?t going over everything from the class that night that you would stick out immediately. Thank god I learned this day 1 and 2 because I worked really hard after.

What is the most valuable piece of information that you learned while attending MSC which ultimately helped you land your position?

A lot of it came from just knowing what I was talking about pertaining to orthopedics and things of that nature.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

It gives people the opportunity to get recognized by hiring managers who do not have the experience. A lot of times you don?t even get the time of day so getting the interviews is step one, and then you have to be able to demonstrate your knowledge.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

After completing my program at MSC, it took me about 2 and a half months to get into the industry. I enjoyed interviewing with different companies and was fortunate to shadow over 15 cases with various reps. Definitely made me more comfortable.

Did you have any fears about attending the School? What were they?

The campus was a long way from home, but I was very excited. I was just scared about not getting a job after.

Explain what your interview process was like.

They were all very different, and I ended up with the company I felt most comfortable with.

What is your current job like?

I am doing total joints in the Philadelphia area. It is exactly what I wanted to be doing where I wanted to be doing it. It is also entry level so I am shadowing a ton and doing a lot of individual work.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

The surgeon is always right.
