Student Testimonials

Tell me a little about your background.
I recently graduated from Miami University with a bachelor?s degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Business Analytics. After graduation, I worked some smaller jobs and started exploring B2B sales careers.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
I started my interest in medical sales because I always knew I wanted to have a career which combined the medical and business fields.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
Doing my own research and a Smith & Nephew rep mentioning it (he, however, did not know anything about the school at all).
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
I knew I wanted to get into the field but wasn?t having any luck given I didn?t have sales experience. The placement service was a big deciding factor for me. With my major in Kinesiology, I came to learn the business/sales side of medical sales.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
While the training experience was nothing like I thought it would be, there were valuable aspects I pulled from the course. The first was really understanding the importance of being flexible and able to work with all types of people/teaching styles. Doing at least one presentation a week enabled several people, including me, to begin overcoming my fear of public speaking. Having Patrick constantly providing us ?real-world? tips proved to be very valuable.
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
3 months.
Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
The most valuable piece of information that I learned from MSC was to print out and annotate every page of the website for which you are interviewing with. I brought this and a brief 30-60-90 plan to the interview which went over very well.
