Tell me a little about your background.

I attended the University of Nevada-Reno where I obtained my Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology. After graduating I bartended for a few years while I tried to figure out what career path I wanted to pursue.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

A career in medical sales gives you the chance to constantly improve the lives of others, and that is something I have always been so passionate about.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

Online.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

After discovering MSC and doing further research, I found it to be the best option for me to gain more knowledge about the industry as well as give me an extra boost for breaking into the industry. I have a solid background in biology which was very helpful for this course but I did lack sales experience. I enjoyed that MSC also incorporates time to learning the sales/business side of the career and found it to be very beneficial.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

The training at MSC was better than I ever could have imagined. I loved having different instructors for each specialty because I felt like each one provided their own insight/experiences about the industry. The hands-on experience was so helpful for learning the different techniques and procedures for each specialty.

Describe your experience with Dynamic Consultative Sales training.

Sales week was extremely important to me since I didn?t have any sales experience prior to attending MSC. I found it to be so helpful!

Describe your Career Development training experience.

My Senior Director of Career Development and Career Development Coordinator were both so great after graduating! They always answered my calls and any questions that I came up with.

How did your MSC training help you transition from a different industry into the fast-paced, high-stakes nature of medical device sales?

I have a solid background working in fast-paced environments and experience with relationship building. Although it was in a completely different industry, I believe that my skills will be transferable to the environment of medical sales.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

Someone should attend MSC if a career in medical sales is something that they've been wanting to do but might lack experience in so they can successfully break into the industry. MSC covers the anatomy/science background as well as the sales side and overall gives you the proper tools you need to be successful in the field.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

One year.

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

Networking played a huge role for me after graduating MSC. A company manager found me on LinkedIn and reached out to me. We talked over the phone and then the following week he flew me out to meet the team and sit in on some cases. I did not have a formal interview and it was a quick process overall!

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

The most valuable thing I learned at MSC was the importance of networking and being persistent. That is what essentially connected me with my new employer and is something that I will constantly tell people to do. Never stop connecting with others because it really plays such a huge role in this industry!
