Student Testimonials

Tell me a little about your background.
Throughout college, I had plans to attend medical school until about a month before I graduated. When I decided I didn?t want to go, I began searching for an alternative career that would still allow me to form meaningful relationships, be in the medical field, and provide a great lifestyle for me and my future family.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
Medical sales is a great fit for me because I love anything that has to do with science, human anatomy and biology, and really wanted to work in a field that would challenge me and allow me to make an impact. I also knew that a 9-5 desk job was not suitable for me, and medical sales is certainly not that.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
I learned about MSC when I was scouring the internet for more information about medical device sales in general and ended up on their website reading every single testimonial I could.
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
I had attempted to take the typical route into medical device sales: doing sales for a few years and then getting into medical device sales, but after a lot of interviews with different companies didn?t pan out, I realized I had zero interest in their products anyways and would have been MISERABLE selling them. So, I decided to go for it and pursue something that I knew I would be passionate about-it also allowed me to get into it 2 years quicker, essentially allowing me to become a full on rep and make more money a lot sooner than I would have otherwise.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
I truly loved my experience at MSC (I cried the day I graduated because I was so sad to leave my classmates and instructors!). I felt that my confidence in public speaking improved significantly, and I received great advice from teachers who have been in the field for a very long time. The days were sometimes long, but I learned so much valuable information that I know will be of great benefit to me in my job!
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
Several months-but looking back on it, I didn?t really try that hard. Mainly because I did not know how to network, reach out to people, and really pursue a job at that time, which I learned at MSC.
Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.
What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?
Be ultra-prepared financially for MSC, because you will want to be able to devote all your time to it and there is not enough time to work (from my experience). I wish I had just gone sooner! I was skeptical at the beginning about the job placement rates-seemed a little too good to be true. But, employers have loved seeing MSC on my resume and I feel that it gives me an advantage over a lot of other applicants. I am so happy that I went for it.
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
MSC gave me a lot of confidence in my capabilities as an applicant. I think the most valuable thing(s) I learned was how to structure my Linkedin profile, resume, cover letter, things to ask in an interview, and how to be prepared for an interview. Essentially, all the basic job things that I didn?t feel I learned very well in college.
