Student Testimonials

Tell me a little about your background.
I was a collegiate athlete and earned my degree in Psychology. After graduating I worked in mental health for three years working with at risk adolescents in private boys homes.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
I have five brothers and grew up in a family where competition and athletics is an ingrained part of our life. I craved high stakes, fierce competition and contributing to high performing teams. Making the transition from my athletic career to mental health I was forced to fit into a very limited box that forced me to go with the flow and settle with what was given to me. I realized I needed to make a career shift where I could once again rely on my passion and drive to succeed.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
I learned about the Medical Sales College by doing countless internet searches of how to break into Medical Sales and then asking the people I knew already in the industry about what they thought about the school
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
Hearing the confidence, sincerity and passion in my phone interviews with Scott and Kim.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
We hit the ground running from the moment we walked through the doors. My instructor did an incredible job of setting the tone for what the course was going to look like. It was going to be fast, intense, competitive and at the same time she did an incredible job of implementing a sense of unity within all of the members of the class. You instantly felt connected to your fellow students and knew that you were all in it together whether it be staying on track during the lectures, preparing for presentations or studying. One of my favorite first impressions that proved itself over and over again with every staff member, was their passion for the industry and their commitment to each and every student?s success. You instantly knew they were teaching because they absolutely loved what they did, not because they had to be there. That energy is contagious and incredibly powerful.
What is the most valuable piece of information that you learned while attending MSC which ultimately helped you land your position?
I was able to use many different tools depending on the interview style and what he was looking for. I was able to use the meticulous, technical tools to research products. I was able to utilize the financial and time I invested in completing the program and how it showed I knew the industry was a great fit for me. I was able to show that I was exposed to the primary components of the industry.
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
I didn?t even try to get into the industry prior to Medical Sales College. I knew I needed to learn how to build a foundation that would build my dream career and I needed to find an environment and resources in order to accomplish that.
Did you have any fears about attending the School? What were they?
I feared that I would not truly be exposed to the tools I needed to gain the confidence to pursue my job campaign fearlessly.
Explain what your interview process was like.
I soaked up every bit of advice I could during the whole entire course and especially the last week. I was able to attack each interview with a sense of fearlessness, confidence and composure because I knew I had begun to build a foundation that proved to myself I had the ability to contribute to each team and company I was interviewing for. My authenticity and passion was felt and that was what the hiring managers responded to and what kept my moving through each interview process.
