Student Testimonials
Tell me a little about your background.
12 years in sales and 6 year as a Sales Representative at a community blood bank in Houston, TX
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
I wanted to impact lives while providing solutions to healthcare professionals. With technology always changing and healthcare evolving, I wanted to be able to bring value to HCPs and provide solutions for patients. Not only is this industry rewarding, but it is exciting every single day.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
Through a friend who attends PA school in Virginia. She worked with an exceptional medical device rep at her hospital, and she asked her rep where she received her training. She said she attended MSC. After researching the school and looking at the curriculum, I knew it would be the best first step in advancing my medical sales career to the next level.
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
Speaking with other graduates who went through the program. So many of them told me how it provided them with the basic tools and knowledge to sell to surgeons, which they still use these skills to this day.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
Attending classes in person is the best way to learn, hands down! Interacting with the instructors and other students provided a positive learning environment. My classmates were very encouraging and provided positive constructed feedback during product presentations which helped me grow as a sales person. I also love speaking with industry professionals (Surgeons, Materials Managers, Industry Sales Directors) and learning exactly what it takes not only to break in, but to be in the 1%. Having a Q&A with industry experts was my favorite part of the experience.
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
Not long, about 6 months.
Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.
What is your current job like?
NEVER STOP profiling surgeons. I continue to add to my MedRepTrack and stay current with the industry. That way on my first day I am ready to hit the road running. I will never stop profiling because I believe I have what it takes to be the 1% of sales reps. That?s my personal/professional goal.
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
Never give up! It is a tough industry to get into and you have to find the right company that matches your needs, skills, and talents.
