Student Testimonials

Tell me a little about your background.
I am a former collegiate student-athlete who played baseball for 17 years. I graduated with a degree in Biology and wanted to become a Physician Assistant. After doing research about that career I wasn?t sold so I took an administrative job while seeking out other opportunities.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
With a biology background and a fascination for surgery, when I heard there was a career that involved the two, I jumped at the opportunity to learn more about it!
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
A friend of a friend attended Medical Sales College previously and is now employed so I gave her a call. We talked a few times about it over the phone and via text and she gave me some very valuable insight.
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
The woman that I talked to spoke highly about it and I had a desire to get into this industry so I decided to invest in my future by advancing my knowledge about medical device sales at Medical Sales College.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
2 Weeks At-Home study, 1 Week of Biologics and Sales, 4 Weeks of Sports Medicine, 4 Weeks of Orthopedic Reconstruction and Trauma, and 1 Week of Resume/Business Plan/Networking/Interviewing Help
During each of these sections we went over history, anatomy/physiology, products, procedures, role-playing and speeches. There were a total of 6 instructors which gave great insight from each of their individual experiences. Each week had a test, clinical studies to read, a product presentation and different types of products calls which helped to solidify the knowledge that we acquired during each week, and each section had a final exam (excluding the final week)
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
I applied to several Associate Sales Representative positions for about 3 months. I heard back from one, had an initial phone call interview and didn?t hear back after that. That made me realize that I did not have the type of experience required to get into the industry.
Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
The importance of using LinkedIn to network and make connections with past MSC grads as well as current reps/managers in the field. Then using these connections to strike up conversations and gain knowledge of what companies are looking for and what is expected of you once onboard with a company.
