Tell me a little about your background.

College athlete that dreamed of one day becoming a doctor but always had a propensity for sales. Proceeded from Mississippi College with a B.S. in Biology, but took a job as an insurance agent immediately after graduation. After receiving traction, a year later I moved to Nashville, TN to become an Account Exec for a local Marketing Firm. Grew the business, received national recognition and began managing my own campaign for the company. After saving enough money, I started my own finance brokerage with a colleague of mine, UnifiedPrincipal LLC., while brokering freight for Cavalry Logistics on the side. Our brokerage eventually hit a standstill and Cavalry offered me a position to relocate to Utah and manage my own team operating independently under their umbrella. I chose to bet on myself and return back to my first love, but this time I would bring sales with me. Leading me to MSC, somewhere I could gain the ability to sell Medical Devices inside an Operating Room. Best of both worlds, and now that I?m officially with Paragon28; so far so good.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

Went to college for Pre-Med because of my love for the medical field, but my true skill has always been in sales. This career is the perfect combination.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

After researching the school and speaking with prior students, I decided it could be worth the investment.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

Informative. I learned a lot in those 8 weeks, most of which I feel has prepared me for the challenges ahead.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

MSC teaches you to not only sell in the medical arena, but the understandings of products and procedures, hospital layout, reimbursements and compensation, and the terminology needed to communicate effectively with your customers. When applying for Medical Sales jobs having MSC on your resume really gives you an edge on the thousands of applicants they receive.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

3 months applying before actually attending MSC, but it?s been a goal of mine over the last few years.

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

Initial phone interview after I applied. Personality questions in a separate phone interview. Face to face interview in territory. Received Offer.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

What I believe helped me the most was my clinical foundation and knowledge of the current medical arena that MSC provided to me. The regional manager was impressed with how much I knew, not only about products/procedures, but the actually process of navigating hospitals and inside an Operating Room.
