Tell me a little about your background.

I have a degree in Neuroscience from Colorado State University and have always been interested in the medical field.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

It seemed like the perfect combination of academic challenge, learning to become an expert while also prioritizing relationships and improving patient lives.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

First, via Google, but then I asked a mentor of mine, Carley Baldwin, about it and she gave great reviews.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

I was ready to jump into a career.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

I feel as though the information really built upon my prior knowledge. CSU gave me a great foundation and MSC helped with the application of it.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

It shows that you are willing to invest in your future. Like most positions, a majority of the learning will be on the job, however MSC sets you up to market yourself and learn the lingo before heading into the interview process.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

I didn't try prior to attending MSC.

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

I went through two initial phone interviews, an in-person interview with the sales manager and current rep, a zoom interview with the president, a third in-person interview with the sales manager, and finally I was flown out to Portland to interview with 4 people on the management team.

What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?

It's all about the company you work for and the team you're a part of more so than the equipment you are selling. You are selling change, not a product!

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

Truly, just showing that I was willing to invest in my future by spending the time and money on MSC helped land the position. I learned how to market myself and conduct great research prior to meeting anyone.
