Tell me a little about your background.

I graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Chemistry.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

I always wanted to be in medical industry but I didn?t want to go to medical school. I?m very outgoing so I knew that sales would be perfect for me.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

Referred by a former graduate.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

I decided to attend MSC after talking to recent graduates that had loved their experience with the program.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

I loved that the training was very hands-on. We gave many presentations in front of the class which made all of us very comfortable talking in front of a group. This skill will help us immensely in this industry.

Being a recent college graduate, how did MSC help you to prepare to enter the professional workforce?

The tips given by the instructors who were previously in the industry were very insightful. The tips on how to handle ourselves in a hospital/OR setting as well as how to navigate the interview process were essential for anyone wanting to succeed in this industry.

What made you choose to invest in more education by attending MSC after just recently graduating college?

I didn?t have previous sales experience or a lot of knowledge of the industry in general. I knew MSC could help fill both of these gaps.

How did placement services help accelerate your entry into the medical device sales industry?

My placement services team was awesome. They provided opportunities for me to apply for and were always just a phone call away if I had questions about an upcoming interview or how I should create a follow-up email.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

If you truly want to break into this industry and succeed then the information you?ll learn at MSC is essential. The insight the instructors have on the industry is second to none.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

I did not try before attending MSC.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

The tips that our Senior Director of Career Development gave us during that final week helped me the most in the interview process. The biggest tip that helped me was to be responsive. If you get an email/text/call from one of these companies you need to reply immediately. No excuses. This shows that you are excited and serious about the position and especially if you?re going for an associate level role, the communication between you and your territory manager will be essential.
