Tell me a little about your background.

I?ve been in sales since I graduated college. My previous job was working with Arthrex. I left there after 2 years and opened a restaurant. Soon after opening, I felt called back to medical device sales.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

The advancement they would make in me as a rep, the knowledge about products and sales strategies and the placement services.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

I found them while looking for a position on Medreps.com

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

I thought they could help me become a better rep by giving me more product knowledge and make me a better salesperson.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

It was amazing. I learned almost everything I could about biologics. They also taught me how to present a product to a doctor/facility in a way that would be most successful in this industry.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

Simple. You learn how to be successful in this industry. I had previous experience but the manager who hired me got my name from MSC. I wouldn?t have this job without MSC and I will be forever grateful.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

About 8 -12 months

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

Mine was probably pretty unique. I received an email Thursday morning asking for a phone interview. I responded with times that day I was available. That Thursday afternoon the regional sales manager and distributor called me and we did a phone interview for around 90 minutes. A few hours later the distributor called me back and offered me the position.

What is your current job like?

It?s exactly what I want. I haven?t had much of a training period, none actually, so it?s been hectic and a little stressful. But I?m selling great products, showing my value to surgeons by walking them through how to use my products and my territory has an astronomical opportunity for growth.

What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?

GO 1099!

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

Be yourself. One of the reasons the regional manager ultimately hired me was because I had a personality and answered his questions honestly.
