Tell me a little about your background.

I recently graduated college with a healthcare degree and worked at an orthopedic outpatient clinic at Beaumont Bone and Joint. I met some device reps, and learned about the industry. After searching for more information I found out about Medical Sales College.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

During my work experience I had the chance to speak with some orthopedic surgeons. They encouraged me to consider pursuing a career in the industry.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

I was doing some research on medical sales training on Google and found MSC.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

I would not have been able to get the experience anywhere else. This is a challenging and competitive industry. I had conversations with other reps and made the decision to attend MSC.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

I loved it. It just felt like I was back in college. I really enjoyed the interaction with instructors, and gained a better perspective of what the industry entailed. I also gained a lot of confidence with the sales training.

What is the most valuable piece of information that you learned while attending MSC which ultimately helped you land your position?

The training I received on interview preparation was great. The Surgeon Profiling forms were very impressive and the 30-60-90 Day Plan was well received.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

There?s nothing else like MSC to help individuals make the transition into medical sales. MSC provides formal education on all aspects of the industry. Education is key to success.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

I started looking into the medical sales industry while in college. I was accepted to Medical Sales College and went there directly after graduation. So far everything has been smooth.

Did you have any fears about attending the School? What were they?

I was more nervous than fearful. I had vague expectations. Not knowing what to expect was the biggest part.

Explain what your interview process was like.

The Regional VP reached out to me and gave me the contact information for the local distributor. I had a phone conversation with him and met for the next week before I got an offer. I interviewed with a total of 10 companies and received three offers on the same day, before accepting the position with Lone Star.

What is your current job like?

It?s nice to be in my hometown and I really enjoy the people that I work for.

What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?

I had no idea how long the interview process can potentially take.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

The most valuable thing that I learned at MSC was DPS Sales Training and conversations.
