Tell me a little about your background.

I graduated from Indiana University Northwest with a degree in biology and originally planned to go to optometry school. After working in an aye care clinic for almost 2 years while finishing school and studying for the OAT, I decided medical sales was the route I wanted to go.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

It is a very competitive industry that can be very rewarding.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

CareerBuilder

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

I felt as if it was the best way to break into this industry.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

Fantastic. I could not be happier with my investment in this course. I would not be where I am today if I had not attended MSC.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

Companies love the idea of Medical Sales College and a few companies I interviewed with want their new hires to attend MSC before starting. It?s a great way to get your feet wet in a very competitive industry that is extremely difficult to get into.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

3 months

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

The process was very relaxed. MSC prepares you for the worst-case scenarios which is a good thing. The interviews were all great experiences for me as I received multiple job offers and had a few more I was probably going to get.

What is your current job like?

I start March 2, but I have shadowed my coworkers a few times. The job is great. We work in the OR for any general surgeries, orthopedic surgeries, trauma surgeries, or spine surgeries that the surgeon wants to use our products. They are extracellular matrixes that help speed up wound healing and reduce scarring.

What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?

I know questions to ask and that I will be asked during the interview process and just how to overall prepare for interviews. I have just a better overall knowledge of the OR and basics of the job required by reps now.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

I would say just to be myself and be patient. Do not try to impress anybody. The right company will eventually find you
