Tell me a little about your background.

I grew up playing baseball my whole life and got a scholarship to play at Indiana Wesleyan University where I also studied business. I am an Army Infantry Veteran who served for 6 years and following that, I started a residential construction company as well as got into real estate as an agent. After a few years of doing that, I still had a passion for medical sales so I decided to join the Medical Sales College and help my chances of getting hired.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

I was always interested in medical sales since my 2 shoulder surgeries. I wanted to be able to change someone?s life the way mine was changed from surgery.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

I learned about MSC from a couple of friends that went through the college.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

Being able to have a little more of an advantage with MSC on my resume while applying being able to showcase what I have done was a plus. Anything to get my foot in the door to the industry, I was all for it.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

My training experience was incredible. I really enjoyed my course and my instructors. They were very knowledgeable and helped in any way they could to make sure we could succeed. I did not feel for one second that I was in class since I was enjoying every aspect of this new venture that I was taking.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

I think anyone who would like to pursue a medical sales career should absolutely attend MSC if they want to better their knowledge in the medical sales career. Having a one up on the competition in the hiring process is absolutely worth the investment.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

A few months, with multiple applications and no interviews.

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

My interview process with Paragon 28 was first a phone interview, then an in-person interview, a phone interview with the regional manager, then an in-person interview with the regional manager. I had another phone interview with the VP of Sales, then one more phone call with the original in-person interviewee and he presented the offer to me.

What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?

That just because you attend MSC and have that on your resume, you still have to be able to perform and know material outside of what MSC teaches you. You can?t rely on them 100% because in the field, it is up to you to continue to study and know your material. This is just the start of your career, it is up to you to continue it.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

There is not one specific piece of information, to me, it was the thorough nature of the course that fully prepared me for what was to come. Having confidence in product knowledge, doctor profiling, hospital profiling, etc. Everything culminated into helping me be the most prepared for the interviews.
