Tell me a little about your background.

I have a bachelor?s degree in Kinesiology. I was a patient care technician on the nursing support team for a couple years to gain clinical experience.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

I knew I still wanted to be involved in healthcare, but not on the clinical side. I love having the opportunity to be in surgery where the action happens, being a resource for surgeons and having an impact on patients? lives.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

Online.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

I wanted to get into the industry as soon as possible.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

We started with learning OR protocol and surgical instruments. We learned anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and procedures of the spine, hip, knee, trauma, and biologics. We had a week of sales training. We also did labs and presentations throughout each week to learn different products.

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

To get a good foundation of knowledge for an interview. Also, to even get an interview. Unless you know someone in the industry, applying online to a company is most likely not going to get you an interview.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

1 year.

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

For this particular job, I had a phone interview with HR, then a phone interview with the president of the company, then an in-person interview. Then I received the offer for the job!

What is your current job like?

I have only been here for a week now, which consisted of getting credentialed to be in the hospitals.

What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?

You don?t have to have sales experience prior to getting into the industry.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

Every company is looking for someone different. Always be yourself while interviewing, don?t give up if you don?t get a particular position, and you will find a company that is right for you.
