Student Testimonials

Tell me a little about your background.
Collegiate student-athlete in football for 2 years with a Bachelors of Health Science from the University of Missouri. I earned experience as a logistics management specialist through an online gunsmith retailer for five years. I?ve continued my education into an MBA program and also gained sales experience in the financial services industry.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
A friend and former graduate referred me to the MSC.
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
The desire to break into the medical orthopedic device sales industry.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
I was impressed by the teaching objectives covered through the team at the MSC. A lot of information is covered in a limited amount of time. The Academy Program covers osteobiologics, reconstruction, sports medicine, and extremities in a month. (Including all the major vendors). The instructors did a phenomenal job of presenting relevant information and then challenging students to build and present the knowledge to the class.
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
The Medical Sales College is a first class experience to jumpstart your career. You will be well prepared and more knowledgeable of the industry after attending the MSC.
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
Similar to other competitive industries, most graduates don?t get in immediately unless they have relevant experience. It?s not an easy industry to get into and you have to work hard networking, interviewing, and learning the medical and technical information. That being said, there is no better feeling than breaking into. It?s a stressful experience, but having a proactive and persistent mentality is the best first-hand advice I?d give anyone looking into the industry.
Did you have any fears about attending the School? What were they?
The only fear I had about attending the MSC was opening the required textbooks as I moved in a week before the academy.
What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?
The Academy is very fast-paced, enjoy the experience. The saying ?you?re drinking from a firehose? will happen, and it doesn?t stop post-graduation. Take a few hours or more on the weekends to explore the natural attractions Colorado has to offer.
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
The hands-on labs simulating an orthopedic case is the most beneficial portion of the MSC training. Learning the steps to identify and, to explain how and when the instruments are used in a clear and precise manner during the procedure- is critical to providing the highest level of customer service as a professional consultant. Also being able to identify potential alternative options the surgeon may prefer helps.
