Tell me a little about your background.

Two college sport athlete in baseball and basketball. Have a Bachelor?s in Biology. Have head coaching, substitute teaching and sales experience from Total Quality Logistic and Cintas.

Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?

I have wanted to get into the medical device industry since my last semester of college. I have a medicine background, but didn?t want to go through the chaos of medical school so when I found out that I could be a part of surgeries it really intrigued me.

How did you learn about Medical Sales College?

I saw it on LinkedIn or online years ago, but at the time they didn?t have financing options and only one location.

What ultimately made you decide to attend?

I went on several interviews with multiple companies in the industry but kept getting the same results. I either didn?t have the right experience or enough experience. So I decided to take a risk and take a chance on MSC to get me there.

Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.

Week 1 was introduction to the field and instrumentation
Week 2 was Biologics
And then the rest of the weeks was focusing on Sports Medicine Procedures and Sales/Presentations

Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?

It is starting to become the norm for a hiring manager to see that on resumes and it stands out. It just helps kind of knowing the industry before hand and the training involved makes it not so nerve racking.

How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?

Since graduating in December of 2016.

Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.

Sent a resume and email to the hiring manager at week 5 or 6 at MSC. Reconnected with him in February. Was almost a month and a half process going to a Panera Bread near the office about 4 or 5 times until I landed the position.

What do you know now that you wish you had known before entering the industry/attending Medical Sales College?

I knew a lot about the industry before attending and how difficult it was to get in, and a lot of people get in through connections so make sure your LinkedIn page is up and running and connect to as many people in the industry that you can.

What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?

It was honestly having a base ground of the industry.
