Tell me a little about your background.
I was born and raised in Plano, Texas. I played ice hockey for 13 years up until I graduated high school. I was originally trying to the get into Vet School but decided to put that on hold and get a career started.
Why were you interested in pursuing medical sales as a career?
I?ve always wanted to do something in the medical field. A career in the Medical Device Industry would allow me to utilize my science and medical background. I really liked how the reps get to go in on the surgeries. I also knew that a career in the medical device sales industry offers infinite pathways to an emotionally rewarding and financially lucrative lifetime opportunity.
How did you learn about Medical Sales College?
I saw the ?internship? placement coordinator position on a job website. The first lady I interviewed with told me I should just go ahead and apply for the class.
What ultimately made you decide to attend?
I was getting nowhere applying to medical device companies because of my lack of b2b sales and previous experience.
Please describe your training experience at Medical Sales College.
I loved it. Rick is great and I think I got an edge over everyone else who is trying to break into the industry and hasn?t taken the course.
Why should someone attend Medical Sales College?
How long did you try to get into the industry before attending MSC? What was that experience like?
A couple months.
Please briefly explain your job interview process with your hiring company.
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Medical Sales College/What piece of training do you use the most in your day-to-day activities?
My interviews were not technical about products at all. Even though I learned a bunch of information that will come in handy down the road, what ultimately helped me get the job were the steps Scott taught us about the hiring process. They pretty much told me I got the job because I followed up with them the most out of any other candidate.
